Requesting Harpsichord Work

The following are some signs that your harpsichord may be in need of service:
  • The touch is too heavy or too light
  • The notes are of uneven volume playing up the scale
  • Strings continue to sound after releasing a note
  • The keys barely go down far enough for notes to play
  • Notes do not sound when played
  • Repetition is poor or inconsistent
  • Tone is too loud, too soft, or simply unpleasant
  • Registers are difficult to turn on or off
  • After turning on a register, is seems reluctant to stay on
If you notice any of these problems, contact me and we can arrange an appointment. Upon examination of your harpsichord, I will be able to provide an estimate for recommended work.
